Advisory is an essential component of personalizing the school’s program for each student. Members of the teaching staff and the administration serve as advisors to a small group of 4-5 students. The advisor serves as an academic counselor, advocate, and facilitator on behalf of each student throughout his or her experience at the school. Advisors are responsible for monitoring and addressing all aspects of a student’s academic, social, and emotional growth and progress at Besant Hill. Additionally, the advisor should function as a liaison and facilitate regular communication between parents and school in regard to a student’s progress.
